Umay Şamlı

AI Security & Robotics Researcher

M.Sc. CandidateAI SecurityRobotics

I am Umay Şamlı, a Computer Scientist and M.Sc. candidate specialized in AI Security and Scalable Systems. Following my contributions to NATO's AI/ML Security Governance and software engineering roles at TUSAŞ and ASELSAN, I am now translating my expertise into the field of robotics. I am driven by the challenge of building intelligent, autonomous systems that can navigate complex environments. My core technical focus lies at the intersection of Reinforcement Learning (RL), Robotics, and Non-static Models, aiming to develop adaptive agents capable of thriving in dynamic, real-world scenarios.

Undergraduate Students

Ahmet Engin Büyükdığan

Ahmet Engin Büyükdığan

RL & Sensor Fusion Engineer

Cat-LoverKYK-Member

The "do whatever it takes" guy of the team. As a 4th-year computer engineering student, Engin is all about reinforcement learning and sensor fusion, making sure our RC car learns from its mistakes (unlike some of us). Whether it's tuning hyperparameters, optimizing algorithms, or just keeping the project on track, he's always ready to dive in.

Ali Bolat

Ali Bolat

Team Lead | RL & Sensor Fusion

WizardReinforcement Enjoyer

Team lead, problem solver, and the grand sorcerer of reinforcement learning. As a sophomore CS student at TEDU, Ali is weaving his magic into sensor fusion and deep reinforcement learning, making sure our RC car doesn't just move but learns.

Deniz Ertuğrul

Deniz Ertuğrul

Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineering

The backbone of our project—literally. As a 4th-year mechanical engineering student at TED University, he designs the schematics, builds the frame, and makes sure the motors actually move. If it involves torque, gears, or getting his hands dirty, Deniz is on it.

Kaan Güler

Kaan Güler

Computer Vision Engineer

Computer Vision

Genius with a big smile, responsible for computer vision and general technologies of the car. Making sure the car sees and understands its environment.

Özgür Basık

Özgür Basık

Object Detection Specialist

Object Detection

In charge of making sure our RC car actually sees the world. He's working on training and optimizing object detection models so our car doesn't crash into things it shouldn't. Always buried in datasets and tweaking parameters, he's on a mission to make our vision pipeline as sharp as possible.
